Fire Rating: FM Approved and E119 Rating
CCS offers cooling tower designs that have met rigorous third-party testing for fire protection. The CCS Phoenix counterflow has designs that have been awarded FM Approval.
FM Approval
"FM Approval" is a third-party certification from FM Global, the most respected source of industrial scientific research and testing. It assures superior quality, confirms the product conforms to the highest standards, and protects properties from loss.
Fire is Contained
FM Global certifies that the CCS Phoenix FM Approved cooling tower has passed tests to ensure that any fire will be confined to one cell, enabling continued performance from remaining tower cells. This also ensures that fire will not threaten other structures outside the coollng tower.
Helps Avoid Loss of Production
The CCS Phoenix FM Approved cooling tower helps owners ensure continued production, even in the event of fire. Uninterrupted operations are critical for the majority of applications, including HVAC, process, and hospital installations.
Fire Protection That Stands Alone
FM Approved Phoenix Cooling Tower
CCS' FM Approved cooling towers utilize 1 1/4" double wall panels that have achieved the ASTM E119 30-minute fire wall certification.
ASTM E119 Fire Rated
The CCS Phoenix FM Approved cooling tower is the only cooling tower on the market that has 30-minute firewall rated assembly per ASTM E119.
Smaller Footprint
Competing FM Approved cooling towers utilize dead-air space, or a "false bay," between cell walls. Because the CCS FM Approved Phoenix is the only cooling tower to achieve 30-minute firewall rated assembly per ASTM E119, its tower cells share a common wall with no costly dead air gap or "false bay" between cells. This in turn enables the FM Approved Phoenix to have a smaller footprint than other FM Approved towers.
