CCS's Jess Seawell Elected President and Chairman of the Board of Cooling Technology Institute

FORT WORTH, Texas--Composite Cooling Solutions, L.P. announced today that founding partner, Jess Seawell, P.E. was elected President and Chairman of the Board of Cooling Technology Institute (CTI). Seawell will serve a two-year term beginning in February 2010 and ending in February 2012. He will supervise and direct all activities of CTI and its administrative office in Houston.

"Over the years, Jess has played a central role in the cooling tower industry," said Mike Bickerstaff, CCS's President. "He helped build our company, Composite Cooling Solutions, from the ground up. CTI is fortunate to have someone with Jess's knowledge and experience to serve as president. He will help advance the high standards for which CTI is known."

"With Jess's election, CCS will be the only cooling tower company in the industry with three active or former CTI presidents," said Jim Baker, CCS's Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Other CCS executives who served as CTI presidents are Toby Daley, P.E. (CTI President, 1999) and Jim Baker (CTI President, 2004, 2005).

About Jess Seawell, P.E.

Jess Seawell’s experience in the cooling tower industry dates back three decades. He has held positions at the executive level in engineering, operations, and marketing while at the former Ceramic Cooling Tower Company. Seawell holds multiple patents in the structural and mechanical design of cooling towers including the Composite Cooling Solutions’ Phoenix® FRP structural design and is a technical expert on composite materials and their application to cooling towers. Seawell also serves as the leading industry consultant for Factory Mutual Approval as applied to cooling tower design. Seawell has presented numerous articles and related technical publications to the cooling tower and power industries. Jess Seawell currently serves CCS as an active partner and consultant.
